Its this little monkey that keeps me so busy now a days.
So part of my...ok, no, I lie, about 90% of my inspiration to start this blog was when I stumbled apon a whole new world of home decor bloggers! I had no idea... as if i didnt have enought on my "really would love to do, but will likely never find the time" list. I have noticed myself find the energy..or maybe inspiration..to TRY to give some projects hell. Now, with that said, I've gained all this momentum...great right? Well, I now have about half a dozen projects waiting in the wings begging to be finished...
Just to name a few

Yes, the bottom of these stairs acts at a make-shift laundry shoot..dont judge
Back steps..Thanks you Pop! What more could you ask for in a daddy, inspiring and encouraging his daughter! One of my projects for 2011 was to carpet our cold, dark, dungeon of a basment...I keep telling myself, if we get carpet down there I'm sure I'll be far more motivated to go down and do laundry more than once everyother week...but...then again, maybe not :) ANYWAY, dad had made one of his bi-monthly trips over to work on his "daddy-do" list, you know un-clog a drain, fix the dishwasher...things of those nature. We got chatting about my BIG plans for the dungeon, brainstorming with him about the impracticality of having carpet at the landing our main door in and outside...one thing let to another and this is what we ended up with..YES, those are hardwoods, hard to tell with the layers of carpet glue and lanolium backing but they are there!PROBLEM SOLVED! HELLO soon-to-be-beautiful-once-again hardwoods...GOODBYE cat pee satruated, disgusting, industrial burbur carpet (sickening, I know). After about 6 hours and 3 1/2 packs of sandpaper, my new BFF the palm sander and I FINALLY fiished all 17 sq. ft. That landing and I needed a little space from one another, so this weekend paint and stain, paint and stain. Again, waiting in the wings.
Last but certainly not least
While the hubs was gone to work, I caught the "gotta get this kitchen orgainized" bug..I know, I know, this bug typically starts making it rounds early January..I got a late start. Better late than never though right?
SO, it began...the Dyson and I tackled all the cupboards, got the shelves wiped down and ready for a make over!
This is Chloe's favorite cupboard, she loves to "cook"...its truly though, tear every thing out of the cupboard and string it all across the kitchen, but hey, it buy mommy 15 minutes to get the dishes done. gotta do what'cha gotta do. It looks 5000 times better today, but still not done . HA, surprised? Actually, done just havent gotten around to taking a pic yet. I did get some under cabinet lights mounted today though, all on my own might I add. Stay tuned for pictrues!
Kerr Jars before...
And After...CUUTE right??
A little of my ORB (oil rubbed bronze) and some scrap burlap! Thought of this one ALL ON MY OWN! Alright, GOAL...Get all these loose ends tied up...big plans brewing though. Tile back splash you see there behind my new and improved Kerr jars, thinking about covering it with Beadboard? We'll see...one thing at a time ;)
